Smoking is one of the leading cause of heart attacks among people in their thirties and forties, but, unfortunately, most people still need an alarming health report and quit smoking only on prescription. What’s worse, when it comes to persuading smokers to quit smoking, health arguments don’t always work.

The majority of smokers want to quit and have tried to quit smoking in the past 12 months, but only around 1% of smokers who try to quit on their own successfully do so. That is because the relapse rate among them is very high. After trying to quit smoking two to three times, they become frustrated and start smoking even more. However, if given psychological counseling, the quit rate improves to 11%.

Anyway, smoker should be motivated enough to quit smoking, or, if we try to think positively, smoker need grave reasons not to smoke during hard smoking cessation period, when nicotine addiction in collaboration with smoker’s mind are going to find tons of reasons to smoke “just one”. Below are just some reasons to quit smoking:

- You will be able to enjoy flowers, food, fresh air, taste of food, etc. far better

- You will be less wrinkly. After 10 years, smoking can speed up your skin’s aging process by narrowing your skin’s blood vessels and damaging the tissues that give the skin its strength and elasticity.

- Quitting smoking will improve the color of your teeth and fingers… otherwise, yes, they are yellow… and will be brown.

- Clean up your children’s lungs. Secondhand smoke is now believed to be a risk factor for children to develop asthma; it also contributes to respiratory infections, such as pneumonia and bronchitis, and ear infections, as well as coughing, wheezing, and decreased lung function.

- You will be more patient. Smoking addiction raises irritation levels. You will be more calm. Addiction causes anxiety that smoking temporarily relieves.

All smokers harbor the secret hope that they will be spared the disease and death that follows nicotine addiction. We tell ourselves we’ll quit in time and somehow dodge the bullet that smoking is. But with four million people dying every year due to tobacco use around the world, the odds are not in our favor. So, quit smoking to be free and have more control over your life.

Want to Quit Smoking But Haven’t Been Able to?

Have you tried pills, patches and everything else you can think of in an effort to try to quit smoking? Since you are reading this I think it is safe to figure that whatever you have tried just has not worked for you, right?

Do you want to quit smoking, nor only to improve your health, but also to save money? Yet, when you figure out how much you have paid for all of these methods to try to quit plus the cost of the cigarettes that you are still using and you realize that you are actually out even more money than you were before you tried to stop smoking?

Does that seem right to you?

It just does not seem right to us.

Well we have come across something that is not just another pill or potion, it actually changes the way that you will think about cigarettes and smoking in general.

For years hypnosis has been used to help people to quit smoking but it can cost you hundreds or dollars and it takes a concentrated effort in order to get it to work.

Well now there is a new software that works subliminally to actually retrain your brain so that you will no longer crave cigarettes. It will help you to stop smoking even if the pills and potions have not worked for you.

This software is so easy to use. It install on your computer in a matter of minutes. It comes pre-programmed with the necessary statements you need to retrain your brain to not desire cigarettes anymore. But, you can add up to 10 extra statements to customize the program specifically for you.

Then, all you need to do is to click a button each day to get the software going. Them it will work in the background retraining your brain while you go about your business either working or having fun on your computer.

Silently the subliminal software will flash the messages telling your brain that you no longer need or want to smoke.

Every day people use subliminal software to do things like quit smoking, lose weight, become a better student, have a better memory.

It has worked for them and I am sure that it will work for you too. It is so easy! Just a click and then let the software run while you use your computer. No more pills, potions or patches. No more nicotine cravings and going crazy while you go through nicotine withdrawals.

Just a click.

You probably are figuring that this is going to be expensive right?

Wrong!

It is less than twenty dollars right now. That is only a one time fee and you can use it over and over again.

So, if you have tried everything to stop smoking and you have not been able to it is probably because you have not tried this. Using this subliminal software will actually retrain your brain so it does not rely on will power and it is the easiest way to stop smoking ever!

Using subliminal messages as a tool to help you quit smoking is an excellent idea if you have been struggling with a nicotine addiction, and need an extra boost to make that nasty habit disappear from your life. Subliminal messages can’t make you quit, but they can help you reach a point where your willpower becomes stronger than your addiction.

Tools to Stop Smoking

When you are trying to quit smoking, you will probably use several different tools to help you. For example, you may want to start using nicotine gum or even hard candies as a diversion for the physical craving for nicotine. Since smoking is a multi-dimensional addiction, however, these tools may not give you what you need to overcome the addiction.

Smoking is also a mental addiction, and one that quickly become part of your normal routine. You may find that, at least in the first few weeks, you constantly need to do something with your hands. You can use many different tools, including subliminal messages, to help you overcome these psychological and physiological addictions.

Using Subliminal Messages

Like other tools that you use to help you stop smoking, subliminal messages do not control you. You must want to stop smoking, and do everything that you can to resist the temptation to smoke even if you are using subliminal messages as a tool to help you quit.

Many people still hold the common misconception that subliminal messages are a form of mind control that will make you follow the suggestions without your consent. The truth is that subliminal messages are simply suggestions that are subconscious, so that you are better prepared to deal with temptation when it does strike.

Quitting smoking is the number one thing that you can do to improve your health, and subliminal messages are a wonderful tool to use to help you.

There are to many different ways to try and stop smoking – which one is best.

As you already know quitting smoking is probably one of life’s hardest habit to stop!

But like thousands of smokers that try to quit each year, and fail …you’re not alone.

You see there are so many so called ways to quit smoking that it’s becoming even more confusing.

The pharmaceutical giants have seen this market and take advantage of people like you and me. They tell you that by using their products and filling your body full of chemicals that you can quit smoking in just 3 months.

You’ve probably been there and have tried everything they had to offer, yet still carried on smoking as their products just didn’t live up to the hype.

All you did was fill these companies’ pockets with more money.

How many of you have been there? ….most of you I bet!

You see by filling your body with more chemicals just isn’t the answer!

Why?

Well just think about it and look at what chemicals are contained in cigarettes alone

Chemical                                    Found in:

* Carbon monoxide                   car exhaust

* Nicotine                                    bug sprays

* Tar material to make roads

* Arsenic                                     rat poison

* Ammonia                                 cleaning products

* Hydrogen cyanide gas chamber poison

* Cyanide                                    deadly poison

* Acetone                                    nail polish remover

* Butane                                      cigarette lighter fluid

* DDT                                          insecticides

* Formaldehyde to preserve dead bodies

* Sulphuric acid                          car batteries

* Cadmium used to recharge batteries

* Freon damages earth’s ozone layer

* Geranic acid                             a fragrance

* Methoprene                               a pesticide

* Maltitol a sweetener not permitted in foods

Now I don’t know about you but I didn’t want to be filling my body with even more chemicals!

Now you can be someone who have smoked for years and tried every new product the big pharmaceutical companies had to offer.

After 6 months of hard research and finding the best ways to stop the habit for good…

Now no matter what the drug companies tell you, there are only 2 ways to quit smoking!

There’s either the hard way of just using your will power alone. Many smokers fail using this method because at the slightest sign of stress you’ll find yourself puffing away to make yourself feel better

The other is the easy way! This method is the best to finally quit smoking and quit for good.

This method is by using NLP (Neuro-Linguistic-Programming) which is a form of psychotherapy. It’s a bit like hypnosis but without the loss of control as you sometimes see. It gives you the ability and full control to stub out the evil cancer sticks for good.

This method is used by many people and with great success.

See for yourself why the success rates are so high

I watched my brother and sister struggle to quit smoking.

I was raised in a non-smoking home and though I had a few relatives who smoked by and large most of my family didn’t. However – my younger brother became a two pack a day smoker and smoked till the day he died. Incidentally he died at age 61 – way pre-mature – with every health related problem you can mention. My sister, the youngest of us, is still puffing away, even though she has had double- pneumonia twice, has COPD and is on oxygen 24 hours a day. Do you have any idea just how dangerous it is to smoke around an open oxygen bottle? She has convinced herself that she can’t quit and has given up. How sad!

I was talking to a friend of mine a few years back who smoked and I asked him why he smoked. He told me that he enjoyed it. He enjoyed something that will for sure shorten his life by 10 to 12 years. Something that will destroy his lungs and heart. Something that contributes to all kinds of organ failure (yes that’s true), that damages your skin and eyes, and Oh Yes – makes you stink! I forgot – it’s also proven to damage a man’s virility. As a man, that’s reason enough by itself not to smoke!

After you read the above can you still say – “I’m not sure I want to quit smoking?” Of course you want to stop smoking -but you don’t think you can! That’s the biggest obstacle to overcome. Smoking is an addiction and nicotine is one of the hardest things to give up especially since the tobacco people have tweaked the plants to increase the nicotine content to make sure the hook is well imbedded.

That’s what our site is dedicated to – to be YOUR Stop Smoking Source! We offer lots of ways to help you get unhooked and STAY unhooked, that’s our goal. But you have to want to quit smoking. That decision is yours and yours alone. But I know you can do it!

My advice – make the decision to quit smoking today. Don’t put it off another day! Let us help you to quit!

Many times a person who decides to quit smoking will experience stress
and of course the temptation to “just have one”, or they tell themselves “Just one won’t hurt me”. Of course if you follow this trail long enough you will never kick the habit. One of the biggest lies we tell ourselves is that no one understands what we are going through. My recommendation is have a buddy to confide in when the temptation strikes. And some times a person even with the aid of the best hypnosis program on the market will experience slight problems with breaking this habit.

If you slip up and have a cigarette or two, it isn’t the end of the world. “Cheating” or lighting up once over a cup of coffee doesn’t need put you back on the road to a pack a day. Refocus on your goal – being nicotine free! Remind yourself that quitting is hard. Just like anything that’s difficult, you may not get it right immediately. Figure out what caused you to smoke, and learn from it.

The major key is to move on from the slipup, because berating yourself will only add to your stress and may make you fall off the wagon completely. Treat it as a bump in a road you’re still traveling down. Remind yourself why you want to quit, and get back on track again as a nonsmoker. You can do this!

Focus on remembering how much better you started feeling right before you slipped up. Use that as motivation. If you went three days without a cigarette, try to make it a week this time. If you are using a hypnosis program, listen to the CD again, perhaps more than once. What you are doing if reprogramming your mind. Remember, God doesn’t make junk – and you can do this!

Try to identify what barriers made you stumble in your attempt to quit and what you can do differently. I read of one person who had the problem of what to do with his hands. This individual solved this problem with a simple candy sucker. Try it, this just may be one of your solutions. Stay focused and you will be successful, guaranteed!

There are many costs associated with smoking, some are obvious such as the cost of the individual packs or cartons of cigarettes, other costs are hidden, but can still place a drain on your bank account.

The average price of a pack of cigarettes is $4.49. If you smoke just one pack a day, that would cost you $134.70 a month and $1616.40 for an entire year. If you smoke more then one pack a day, then obviously your costs will be higher.

Besides the costs of cigarettes, individuals that smoke have to pay for travel to and from purchasing their cigarettes. With the high costs of gas, this can add up pretty quickly. Smokers must also pay for smoking accessories, such as matches or lighters.

Impulse purchases also cost smokers money, although this isn’t widely recognized or reported. Often times, when smokers go and buy cigarettes, they pick up snacks and drinks while at the store. Five dollars here and there can add up to a lot of money over time.

The treatment of smoke related illness can also make smoking more expensive. Individuals that smoke have higher incidences of cancer, asthma and emphysema. The cost of medications, trips to the doctor’s office and to the hospital can quickly become prohibitive.

Quitting smoking, while extremely beneficial to your health, can also save you a ton of money. The high taxes tacked on to cigarettes make them quite expensive. This “sin” tax shows no signs of slowing down. It is an easy way for local governments to raise money, because the majority of people have no problem penalizing smokers. Besides the actual costs of cigarettes themselves, impulse purchases and the costs associated with smoking related ailments, makes smoking very expensive. Kicking this harmful habit, allows you to get healthier and to save the money that you would normally use for smoking for a better life and future.

There are some very effective methods to help you stop smoking. However, the first and the most important step is for you to be sick and tired enough of smoking that you are ready to do whatever it takes to quit. Money can be a good motivator. Once you have decided to quit, consider nicotine patches, zyban or joining a support group. Your doctor can also be a very good resource to helping you get on the path to living smoke free.

Chinn Neo – a previous guest at Chiva-Som – is very happy. “[Ken Rosen] treated my husband Robert Lau for his nicotine addiction,” she says. “And after having smoked for the past 20 years, he has stopped! This is AMAZING!!”

Chinn not only now has a healthier husband, she also has no unpleasant smoke odours hanging around the house. True: nicotine is incredibly addictive. But with the help of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), you too can stop smoking.

Ken Rosen is Chiva-Som’s Practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine. “At Chiva-Som,” he says, “we offer a complimentary half-hour stop-smoking treatment that follows the NADA (National Acupuncture Detoxification Association) protocol. “The treatment consists of four or five needles placed painlessly at specific points in each ear. After three to ten half-hour sessions, most people quit, and many report back a year later saying they remain smoke free.”

But how does it work? Ken explains: “The ear is a nexus of energy in the body. During the treatment, the body’s nervous energy tries to push the needles out and tunes into itself for healing. When the needles come into equilibrium with the body and mind, the nervous system has been reset in a very profound way. Sort of like restarting a computer.”

Another method to stop smoking is offered by renowned therapist Paul Emery. He uses a powerful combination of EFT and other psychological techniques, NLP for instance. “I can often reduce cigarette cravings in a matter of minutes,” he says. “And I provide guests with a quick tool to use if they need to reduce future cravings or stress.” EFT is based on 5,000 year-old Chinese principles. “It’s a psychological version of acupuncture, but without needles,” Paul reveals. “Instead, I tap specific meridian points. The treatment helps guests to quit smoking physically and psychologically, breaking links with associated activities such coffee breaks and meals.”

TCM and EFT can be used for any addiction, including drugs, food, and work stress. They both have a deeply relaxing effect on the whole person, complementing other therapies at Chiva-Som.

“Smoking Causes Lung Cancer, Heart Disease, Emphysema, and may complicate Pregnancy.”

“Smoking can cause a slow and painful death.”

Despite statutory warnings as dramatic as this in the US and the UK, there are still plenty of us who just can’t seem to give up on the habit, no matter how hard we try. Finding a way to stop smoking easily has, until recently, been about as challenging and elusive as the search for the holy grail.

Smoking always starts out as a curiosity quencher. After “trying it out” the first time, the second and third times come quickly, heralding the start of a regular routine that is very costly in more ways than one.

The seriousness of the effects of smoking would, one could reason, be enough to see people giving up in their droves. Everyone knows by now that smoking is clearly linked to diseases like lung, mouth and throat cancer, heart disease and premature tooth decay, to name but a few. Nonetheless, most of us who smoke continue to persist with a habit that we tacitly acknowledge is an insidious killer, not to mention unpleasant and potentially dangerous for those around us.

Why?

Whereas getting into the routine is child’s play, getting out of it, or quitting smoking, can be hellishly difficult and enormously stressful. Many people will find that to stop smoking is every bit as tough as giving up any other form of substance abuse such as alcohol, marijuana, prescription and other drugs.

To complicate matters, withdrawal symptoms are common after quitting. Mood swings, sleeplessness, cramping of the muscles, cravings and coughing are good examples. These nasty effects are often laid at the door of the substance called nicotine (or lack of it) that is known to cause addiction. But the truth is that cigarettes have been found to contain thousands of chemicals, many of which may be toxic and/or addictive.

And to add a final insult to the injury, those who successfully stop smoking often find themselves ballooning in weight as they distract themselves from their erstwhile habit with frequent snacks and various other ‘munchies’. These extra ‘treats’ and the cost of the various pills, patches and gums that many use to assist the process, often wipe out the financial gains from quitting.

But in all the gloom, there is some great news for those of us – and our loved ones – who long to ‘ditch the weed’. There are programs on the market today that can help people to stop smoking easily and quickly, without the use of supplements and nicotine replacement aids while sidestepping all the hated withdrawal symptoms and avoiding weight gain. It sounds almost too good to be true but the truth is that these programs have remarkably high success rates.

The secret to success lies within each and every one of us. As it is proving to be the case in so many areas of our lives nowadays, our very own personal belief system and our frame of reference for what we think is possible and not possible holds the key to making dramatic and lasting changes.

And, slowly but steadily, smokers are coming to realize that the search for a magic pill, patch or drug is not the answer. The only approach that really does bear fruit in the honorable quest to stop smoking easily is (with a little help) to look within.

Bio Box

One of the programs that has taken this new approach to conquering smoking addiction and has proven to be extremely reliable and successful, can be found at this address:
