When the FDA uses the phrase “may reduce the risk of certain cancers,” it is nearly impossible to imagine they are talking about anything other than a new costly prescription pill. Then following said claim usually includes a fine print warning or commercials with the “speed talker” warning us of the numerous side effects which may occur while taking the prescription.
Proponets of mainstream medicine in the U.S. seem content to leave things as they are, shuffling the countless off to the surgical ward, concerned more with slicing and dicing than actually improving your quality of life. Major pharmaceutical companies refuse to acknowledge anything natural because only chemicals can be patented. Drug companies then try to replicate
the components but it just isn’t quite working out. So, what are we left with? What are our choices?
Currently, conventional medicine is basically telling us the way to treat cancer is to cut, poison and burn. Diagnosed with breast cancer, just cut it off. Chemotherapy is poison, it makes people very sick and this most popular drug for breast cancer causes uterine cancer. Use radiation to burn then, but medical studies show that the results between people with cancer who were treated with radiation and those who were not treated showed no difference.

Midlife, for most women, means having to face the painful reality that life will be a downhill slope from there. The focal point of life for most women is at age 39 (yet most women consider middle age to occur only at 40). It is often at this stage that women experience menopausal symptoms and start gaining layers of fat on their bodies. These are the reasons why women have different nutritional needs during these years.
Fitness for Aging Women
For women who are starting to age, the strongest influence on body fat distribution is still genetics. Yet there are many ways to counter obesity or rapid weight gain during the process of aging. Here are some great ways:
? Women, at this stage, should be encouraged to maintain (if not add more) physical activities. Arthritis should not be a deterring factor to perform any kind of chores or sports activities. It is also preferable that an aging woman would have at least 30 minutes of moderate intensity activity each day. Walking is a good way to spend these 30 minutes and so is aerobic exercise. Aerobics burn calories and causes fat loss (plus it is not as strenuous as other types of workouts).

What do you notice when you buy any fitness tool or exercise machine? Aren’t there mandatory guidelines on how to properly utilize the machine? If people know the benefits of saunas, there would never be a single human being on earth who would still purchase these exercise tools.
Sauna Melts Body Fat
If you are considering to immediately jump into the nearest sauna, halt. There are a few things that you must know before you can actually go there and melt your body fat away. Going to the sauna would require that you consult the advice of a professional fitness trainer. If you prefer not to talk to anyone regarding your new fitness plan, then you can go online and make a thorough research of sauna and its benefits. It all boils down to one thing-you must set up a workout regimen that works for you as you also undergo sauna sessions.
Sauna session means having to endure heat that is several notches higher than your regular body temperature (or your room’s heated atmosphere at that!). Saunas could be heated to as much as 170 degrees and this could be really hot for some people.

Man will age with time-this is an inevitable part of life. Yet many still hope that using creams on their faces or ingesting the right kinds of food would turn back time (at least for a few years!). There are many foods which promote longevity and healthy aging. There is no magic involved and you would be surprised that most of these foods are readily available at the local supermarket.
Olive Oil
This oil has been around for centuries as the Greeks in Crete have consumed this particular oil for centuries. There have been hundreds of studies that would confirm that olive oil has many health benefits. People who use olive oil in cooking or making dishes have lower rates of heart disease as compared to people who consume a different kind of oil. Olive oil is specifically rich in mono-saturated fats and polyphenols. These protect the human body from heart illnesses and other heart-related problems.

The dictionary is quite clear in stating that a vegetarian is “one who eats a diet consisting wholly of vegetables and fruit, and sometimes eggs or dairy products.” However, there seems to be some confusion among the general population as well as in the scientific community as to whether this definition is sufficient. Support for this confusion can be found in the number of professed vegetarians who eat meat products in varied frequency. In many ways, defining a vegetarian could simply be: “one who abstains from meat.” However, a closer look at the various social, religious, philosophical, historical, and political influences that have affected the label and its usage over time present the reality that the term has different meanings to different people. The word “vegetarian” was first used in 1847 by the Vegetarian Society of the United Kingdom.Pythagoras (considered the Father of Vegetarianism), Zoroaster, Daniel, and Buddha advocating and following a vegetarian diet. Throughout history, several religious groups have followed vegetarian diets with varying degrees of adherence. However, it wasn’t until the last part of the 20th century that the practice began to secure mainstream acceptance for positive health associations.a higher percentage of the vegetarian population is more than 40 years of age, a larger percentage is composed of young families (those with children under 18 years of age). Although nearly two-thirds of Americans are overweight, 83 percent of us say our eating habits are very healthy or somewhat healthy, according to a Thomson Medstat survey. Only 3 percent of Americans characterized their eating habits as “not at all healthy.”
OH REALLY? Then why are we and our children so fat and unhealthy? Could it be that few parents really understand how the so called “Standard American Diet” is so detrimental to our children’s health. Let’s face the facts: We have a national health crisis on our hands. Since we love our children and would do everything in our power to keep their lives healthy and safe, there’s only one possible reason we continue to fill their bodies (and our own) with unhealthy, unsafe food – we don’t really understand what a healthy diet looks like. We have a problem and the good news is…..we can resolve this problem.
Did you know that our children’s generation is the first generation in history that is predicted to fail to outlive its parents? I don’t know about you, but that scared the heck out of me! All you have to do is drive down the streets and count how many fast food restaurants there are in one block. Look at the kids. Kids – all the way from toddlers to teenagers are pudgy. We have a childhood obesity epidemic plaguing our country. That’s the bad news. And the good news is that we have the power to change our fate.

Back in the Garden of Eden the food supply was nutrient rich and fruits and vegetables were grown in rich organic soil void of chemicals and environmental toxins. These fresh, raw foods were bursting with nutrition. People were not subjected to modern day technology, chemicals, pesticides, and herbicides. People enjoyed optimal health with little consideration for the foods that nourished the body.
“And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.” Genesis 1:29
Fast forward 6,000 years later (more or less), we have drive-thru fast food restaurants on every corner, genetically modified organisms that we call food, and products made in laboratories with names that cannot be pronounced. Sadly, this has produced diseases that were never heard of 50 years ago, as well as exacerbated those that have been around for a long time.
